About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tim Hortons (2256 Strathcona). As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide guidance and support to ensure they are meeting expectations.
  • Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and manage inventory to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and lead by example, ensuring that all staff are providing excellent service to our customers.
  • Manage Budget and Costs: Prepare budget and cost estimates, as well as manage costs to ensure that we are operating within our budget.
  • Address Customer Concerns: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that we are providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment, coffee shop.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, team player.
