Java Software Developer Bilingual – 4 Month Co-op/Internship

As a Java Software Developer Bilingual, you'll be part of a diverse team of over 3,000 Digital, Data, and Tech experts working at the intersection of what exists and what's possible.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and test low to moderately complex code changes to fix identified defects in existing software products or to moderately enhance new/future software releases.
- Troubleshoot low to moderate defects within code (within own component); may provide input into and perform actions as designated in the remediation plan.
- May assist in the development of requirements with product management and architects; provides recommendations to enhance design to prevent recurring defects.
- Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized initiatives to come up with high-level design. Basic understanding on how to install and configure hardware/software/cloud services.
- Assist and provide additional support in solving software/systems monitoring issues and escalations which require moderate technical expertise to troubleshoot. Complete low to medium configuration activities such as alerts, dashboards, etc.
- Assist in automation of deployment of solutions as code.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD, in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Available to work with us 35 hours per week for Fall 2024 (September 3 – December 13).
- Available to work from the office 2 days a week (and 3 from home).
- Must be returning to school in Winter 2025 following your internship.
- Java programming experience.
- Have at least one prior internship experience.
- Knowledge of the following tools is an asset: Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, JMeter, Spring, Camel, SQL Developer for Oracle.
- Skill in analyzing and solving problems.
- Good organization and spirit of synthesis.
- Bilingualism is ESSENTIAL (French and English).
