**The Role**

We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team on a co-op/internship basis. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for implementing and testing low to moderately complex code changes to fix identified defects in existing software products or to moderately enhance new/future software releases.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Implement and test low to moderately complex code changes to fix identified defects in existing software products or to moderately enhance new/future software releases.
  • Troubleshoot low to moderate defects within code (within own component); may provide input into and performs actions as designated in the remediation plan.
  • May assist in the development of requirements with product management and architects; provides recommendations to enhance design to prevent recurring defects.
  • Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized initiatives to come up with high-level design. Basic understanding on how to install and configure hardware/software/cloud services.
  • Assist and provide additional support in solving software/systems monitoring issues and escalations which require moderate technical expertise to troubleshoot. Complete low to medium configuration activities such as alerts, dashboards, etc.
  • Assist in automation of deployment of solutions as code.

**Requirements**

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD, in software engineering, computer science or a related field.
  • Available to work with us 35 hours per week.
  • Available to work from the office 2 days a week (and 3 from home).
  • Must be returning to school in Winter 2025 following your internship.
  • Java programming experience.
  • Have at least one prior internship experience.
  • Knowledge of the following tools is an asset: Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, JMeter, Spring, Camel, SQL Developer for Oracle.
  • Skill in analyzing and solving problems.
  • Good organization and spirit of synthesis.
  • Bilingualism is ESSENTIAL (French and English).
