About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team for a 4-month co-op/internship. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and testing code changes, troubleshooting defects, and participating in the development of requirements with product management and architects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and test low to moderately complex code changes to fix identified defects in existing software products.
  • Troubleshoot low to moderate defects within code and provide input into and perform actions as designated in the remediation plan.
  • Assist in the development of requirements with product management and architects and provide recommendations to enhance design to prevent recurring defects.
  • Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized initiatives to come up with high-level design.
  • Assist and provide additional support in solving software/systems monitoring issues and escalations which require moderate technical expertise to troubleshoot.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, Earth sciences, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
  • Available to work with us 35 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
  • Available to work from the office 2 days a week and 3 days from home.
  • Must be returning to school in Winter 2025 following the internship.
  • Practical experience in data science, machine learning or deep learning.
  • Practical experience with Python or R programming languages.
  • Understanding of data science approaches in financial services (an asset).
  • Knowledge of AWS, Cloud and Terraform (an asset).
  • Bilingualism is essential (French and English).
