Job Title: Youth Therapist, Substance Use Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Substance Use Services team, you will work with youth and families to provide individualized support and therapy to address mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy to youth and families affected by mental health and substance use disorders
  • Conduct initial screenings and assessments to determine treatment needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
  • Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment options and plans
  • Provide education and support to clients and families on mental health and substance use issues
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work
  • 1 year of recent experience working with youth in a mental health or substance use setting, or 2 years of experience working with clients and families affected by mental health and substance use disorders
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes
