IT Project Manager

We're seeking an exceptional IT Project Manager to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a vital role in driving innovative IT projects that improve operational efficiency and support our mission of delivering high-quality pharmaceutical and diagnostics products.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you'll lead cross-functional teams in the successful execution of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation, optimizing processes, delivering transformative solutions, and operational services to support our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including defining project goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines. Identify tasks, prioritize, and build a schedule to ensure the project progresses efficiently.
  • Collaborate with multifunctional teams and ensure effective collaboration.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate or minimize their impact. Conduct risk assessments, craft contingency plans, and monitor risks throughout the development and run phases.
  • Work with relevant team members to define and manage the project/improvement and/or operational budget. Monitor costs, track expenses, and ensure that the product is delivered within the allocated budget.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes, conduct quality reviews, and address any deficiencies to maintain high-quality outcomes.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvements and elevating overall service experience.
  • Assess change requests, evaluate their impact, and implement approved changes while minimizing disruption.
  • Transition projects to operations with appropriate service transition set-up and governance to ensure operational service quality is maintained (SLA, KPI).

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 5+ years of proven experience as a project manager.
  • Business domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: manufacturing, quality, engineering, or supply chain.
  • Possess a passion for learning, sharing, and further developing best practices and embedding them as next practices to achieve greater impact.
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques as well as service management to effectively manage projects and operations of services.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Proficient in active listening, negotiation, and presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Possess a combination of analytical thinking, hands-on problem-solving, and a customer-service mindset.
  • PMP certification is an asset, and proficiency in ITIL Service Management (ITIL v3 or v4 certification) is highly desirable.
  • Awareness of regulations like HIPAA, GDPR, FDA CFR Part 11 is an advantage.
  • ERP and SAP S/4 knowledge is a plus.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and experience in Computer Systems Validation (CSV) is beneficial.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
