About This Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join the Buildings Mechanical & Electrical team at WSP Canada in a role where you will be responsible for modeling, drafting, design, and site review of mechanical and electrical systems for building projects in the public and private sector.

You will assist with the preparation of engineering drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, Power, Lighting, and Fire Alarm systems. In addition, you will coordinate with the project team, external vendors, engineers, and architects to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate AutoCAD and/or Revit to prepare engineering drawings.
  • Assist with the design of mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Coordinate with the project team, external vendors, engineers, and architects.
  • Execute directions as provided by engineers and management.
  • Gather appropriate resources to assist in problem-solving.
  • Occasional local travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • Related Engineering or Architectural Technology diploma.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of building codes and standards.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.

To qualify for this role, you must be eligible for Canadian Federal Government Enhanced Reliability clearance. This is a mandatory requirement.
