Responsibilities- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients.
- Participate in patient assessments and provide support as needed.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Assist with rounding, responding to call bells, and addressing patient requests.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with supply management and restocking.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Students enrolled in nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or respiratory therapy programs.
- Internationally educated nurses who have initiated registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum one year of previous employment in a healthcare setting.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and stat holidays.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Ability to maintain dignity and self-esteem of patients and families.
