Job Summary
Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in the Medical/Surgical department.
As a Registered Nurse at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that values patient-centered care and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Medical/Surgical environment
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions
Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication
Meet the qualifications and requirements outlined in the ONA collective agreement

Requirements
A current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum 1 year recent Medical/Surgical experience
Current Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Well-developed patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs
Demonstrated ability to function productively in a demanding environment
Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Demonstrated knowledge in the use of various programs, including Cerner, Powerchart, and Microsoft Office
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions
Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment
Able to manage multiple competing priorities and maintain a high level of productivity
Strong communication skills with a patient-centered focus
Ability to fulfill a full-time commitment of 12-hour shifts
