Job Summary


Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in the Medical/Surgical department.


As a Registered Nurse at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that values patient-centered care and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Medical/Surgical environment


  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans


  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions


  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care


  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety, adhering to hospital policies and procedures


  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication


  • Meet the qualifications and requirements outlined in the ONA collective agreement

Requirements



  • A current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario


  • Minimum 1 year recent Medical/Surgical experience


  • Current Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)


  • Well-developed patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills


  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills


  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs


  • Demonstrated ability to function productively in a demanding environment


  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team


  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of various programs, including Cerner, Powerchart, and Microsoft Office


  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality


  • Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions


  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment


  • Able to manage multiple competing priorities and maintain a high level of productivity


  • Strong communication skills with a patient-centered focus


  • Ability to fulfill a full-time commitment of 12-hour shifts
