Job Title: Project Coordinator - Medical Oncology

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at PHSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects related to medical oncology, working closely with the Program Manager(s) to identify and prioritize projects, and ensuring the successful execution of projects within the required timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to project protocols and timelines.
  • Identify, collect, and analyze relevant information relating to current projects, and provide input and recommendations to project teams.
  • Support the management and facilitation of time-limited projects and programs, identifying best strategies and activities for team members and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and arrange project team meetings, preparing documents and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Present project updates to internal and external stakeholders, developing communication plans and disseminating information through various mediums.
  • Monitor and report on project budget expenditures, gathering and summarizing financial information for submission to project leads and sponsors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health or Social Sciences, plus 5 years of experience in a related research assistant, project coordinator, or policy analyst role.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and clinical practices relevant to the service/program area, with understanding of project coordination/management, research, and evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict management and consensus building, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada, with knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities.
