Key Responsibilities
People Management

As a Department Head, you will be responsible for organizing and distributing the work of staff, setting priorities, and maintaining an overview of tasks in accordance with the Store Manager.



  • Manage, recruit, onboard, train, develop, and provide succession planning for the staff in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist the Store Manager in maintaining an overview of Employee Relations responsibilities in the store.

Commercial Focus

You will be responsible for maximizing sales through operational and commercial focus to achieve profitability.



  • Ensure team knowledge on all product, campaign, promotion, display guidelines, and merchandise information.
  • Maintain garment presentation and visual standards according to H&M's expectations.
  • Coordinate with the visual team on all activities concerning campaigns and promotions.

Operations and Customer Service

You will be responsible for scheduling staff within the department according to business needs.



  • Make business decisions using sales and cost plans, budgets, and other tools.
  • Complete cash office operational functions.
  • Follow safety and security routines to prevent loss and ensure safety.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and ensure the best shopping experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • High School graduate or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of retail management experience, including direct supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work strategically, tactically, and operationally.
  • Open availability including evenings and weekends.
