About The Hitchin Post Bar & Grill

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
    • Train and develop our team members, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Food Preparation and Quality Control
    • Establish methods to meet our high standards for food preparation and presentation.
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest quality, meeting our customers' expectations.
  • Administrative and Financial Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory management and cost control.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Communicate effectively with our team members, ensuring that everyone is aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
