About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Griesbach Dental. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed.
    • Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental procedures.
  • Dental Instrumentation and Supplies
    • Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases.
    • Order dental and office supplies, ensuring we have the necessary materials to provide excellent patient care.
  • Administrative Support
    • Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including invoicing patients for dental services.
  • Instrument Maintenance and Sterilization
    • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Education and Training
    • Supervise students in training, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Plastering, packing, waxing-up, casting, polishing, and assembly.
  • Area of Specialization
    • Full dentures, partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, crowns and bridges, ceramic or porcelain application, gold dies and goldwork, and chrome castings.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with repetitive tasks.
    • Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, team player, accuracy, dependability, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, interpersonal awareness, and reliability.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting.
