Project Manager and Quality Assurance Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager and Quality Assurance Leader to join our corporate management team. The ideal candidate will participate in formulating and establishing project management strategies and policies to ensure projects are executed effectively.
The Project Manager will oversee assigned teams, understand the importance of quality, engineering, manufacturing, customer interests, supply and delivery of raw materials, costs, and support functions. They will apply project management, quality management, and continuous improvement tools and methods, aligned with recognized principles and techniques.
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage current projects to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
- Analyze metrics to effect performance improvement in areas of Quality, Operational Excellence, EHS, and make recommendations.
- Responsible for on-time and on-budget completion of all customer deliverables and tracking of costs associated with project materials, processing, tooling, gauges, and customer-owned tooling for cost recovery where applicable.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity requires a seasoned project manager with 7+ years of experience leading projects, preferably in the aerospace industry. The successful candidate must have a degree in Engineering and/or Business-Related program, along with 5+ years of experience managing technical personnel and cross-functional teams within engineering or technical operations.
- 6 Sigma Black Belt certification is an asset.
- Quality Management System auditor certification is an asset.
- Previous experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
- Varied multi-disciplined experience.
- Business Acumen; Team building skills; Critical thinking & Problem-solving skills; Conflict management; Timely decision-making.
- Proficient business communication (both written and oral).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- The ability to negotiate with all stakeholders.
- The ability to coordinate activities inter-company and with multiple departments such as Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Sales, etc.
