Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as an Electrical Techniques Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching subjects in the Electrical Techniques Post-Secondary and/or the Electrical Apprenticeship program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Electrical Theory, Code, Instrumentation, Installation Programmable Logic Controllers, and Hydraulics courses
  • Deliver lectures and practical labs, both online and on-campus
  • Encourage student learning and work in a culturally diverse setting
  • Classroom management and evaluation, use of Humber's LMS system, and program promotion
  • Recommend program advisory committee members and contribute to departmental direction
  • Provide leadership in partnership development and secure collaborative, industry-driven student projects
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have Journeyperson Certification, a minimum of 8-9 years of relevant industry experience, and teaching experience in the electrical field. A Master Electrician and/or Baccalaureate is an asset. The candidate will also demonstrate initiative, strong written and oral communication skills, and a commitment to fostering innovation and positive change.
