Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2539752 Ontario Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that our inventory levels are adequate to meet the needs of our customers.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to prevent errors or deficiencies.

Address Customer Complaints

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take steps to resolve issues and prevent future problems.

Maintain Records

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and provide regular reports to management on key performance indicators.

Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet the needs of our customers.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment

Work Setting

Food service establishment, coffee shop

Supervision

5-10 people, food service counter attendants and food preparers

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods, attention to detail

Personal Suitability

Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, initiative
