About the Role
This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and the environment at ADM's facility. The successful candidate will work closely with the EHS Manager and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement health and safety programs, records, and reports to ensure compliance with government and industry regulations.
- Communicate daily with management on issues related to facility safety, food safety, and environmental issues.
- Assist with third-party and regulatory audits in their respective areas of responsibility.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of federal law and collective bargaining agreement processes.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety from an approved institution.
- Certified in first aid, CPR, and AED training.
- Minimum work experience in a dedicated health and safety position with knowledge of industrial environmental/regulatory compliance.
- Working towards or willing to obtain BCRSP or CRST certification.
