About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join ADM as an Environmental Health and Safety Intern. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our facility and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement health and safety programs, records, and reports related to government and environmental compliance.
- Communicate daily with management on issues related to facility safety, food safety, and environmental issues.
- Assist with third-party and regulatory audits in their respective areas of responsibility.
- Ensure that corrective action plans are implemented to address any deficiencies identified by an audit.
Requirements
- Excellent command of computers, communications, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a strong team and communicate status updates and suggestions for improvements.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required for this position due to business transactions and communication with American and other Canadian colleagues.
- Proven experience with high-speed production and a safe and productive work environment.
- Diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety from an approved institution and certified in first aid, CPR, and AED training.
