Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Cornwall, a newly built long term care home located in the beautiful St. Lawrence River region.
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide resident care in accordance with established nursing standards and principles, physicians' orders, and administrative policies.
- Assess residents' health, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans, and monitor residents' health and report changes in condition.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff, orient and train new personnel, and participate in in-service education.
- Assist in preparing the facility for RAI MDS and take charge of the facility in the absence of the Director of Care.
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous managerial experience in long-term care preferred.
- Experience dealing with cognitively impaired residents.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, as well as knowledge in infection control practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
- Ability to work effectively individually and with others, prioritize tasks, and handle urgent situations.
