About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Cornwall, a newly built long term care home in beautiful Cornwall, Ontario.

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident care in accordance with established nursing standards and principles, physicians' orders, and administrative policies.
  • Assess residents' health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans, and monitor residents' health status.
  • Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff, orient and train new personnel, and participate in in-service education.
  • Assist in preparing the facility for RAI MDS and take charge of the facility in the absence of the Director of Care.
Qualifications
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous managerial experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Experience dealing with cognitively impaired residents.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, including infection control.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
