Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to lead our restaurant team at Firehouse Subs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Operations: Establish methods to meet work schedules, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Human Resources: Hire food service staff and address customers' complaints or concerns.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. You must be physically demanding and able to work under pressure.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team, and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
