About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Model Risk Governance Team as a Model Risk Governance Specialist. You will contribute to the development and implementation of our model risk governance framework, ensuring effective management of risks associated with model use. Your primary responsibility will be to manage, maintain, and oversee the AMER Model Inventory, working closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate and reliable models in decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. You will work closely with model owners/users/developers to collate and maintain the SG AMER Model Inventory, participating actively in annual certification campaigns.
  2. Manage the model approval process, administering initial use approvals, subsequent approvals, and model change oversight.
  3. Coordinate with Model Validation teams for the firm's models; define validation priorities based on regulatory guidance, internal policy, and best industry practices.
  4. Perform quality controls on independent reviews performed by Validation teams.
  5. Implement model risk governance processes, including model risk assessment and reporting to relevant governance forums.
  6. Participate in deck preparation for regulators and internal/external audit on model risk management topics.
  7. Work with technology partners to design and roll out the firm's strategic model inventory and workflow solution.
  8. Review validation of recommendations, issues, and reports, tracking and reporting remediation actions status.
  9. Compile and distribute model governance forum material.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in Model Risk Management related areas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Model Risk regulatory requirements (SR11-07) and industry standard practice.
  • Experience in drafting policy and procedure documentation, and MIS intended for a senior audience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate successfully.
  • Proven success as a trusted partner who implements change and positively influences adoption.
  • Good understanding of risk metrics and model risk controls.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and good at prioritization.

Estimated Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum
