About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Model Risk Management team as a Risk Governance Specialist in Montreal. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the consistent application of our Model Risks' Governance framework for Societe Generale's Americas division.

Reporting directly to the Senior Management of Model Risks' Governance, you will take the lead on managing and maintaining the AMER Model Inventory and the Model Risk Management platform (GRC Platform) — the core system that underpins inventory tracking and model governance across the region.

About the Team

You will be working with a dynamic, high-stakes environment where you will have the opportunity to refine the Risk Framework, manage model inventory, conduct quality control, govern and report on models, support regulatory and audit preparation, collaborate on tech solutions, and track and report issues.

Our team is passionate about enhancing model governance, and we are looking for a detail-oriented professional who shares this passion and has a proven track record in risk management, model risk, with deep knowledge of risk metrics, model controls, and industry standards.

As a Risk Officer (Model Risk Governance), you will have the opportunity to contribute to the sustainable growth of the company through your expertise, understanding of risks, and risk management techniques.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a similar field
  • At least 3 years of experience in risk management, with a proven track record in model risk management, risk metrics, model controls, and industry standards
  • Strong experience drafting policy and procedure documentation, MIS reports, and materials for senior management, oversight forums, and regulators
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
