About the Role

As a key member of our team at Armstrong Fluid Technology, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our logistics operations. This position is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact between Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales, overseeing orders from placement through shipping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Management: Continuously monitor and follow up to ensure on-time product delivery, expediting or coordinating activities with internal stakeholders as needed to meet sales order requirements.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Utilize our Online Order Tracking tool to manage lead-time information and proactively adjust delivery schedules.
  • Customer Communication: Respond promptly to real-time requests from Customer Service on behalf of customers, tracking and rectifying incomplete sales orders.
  • Supply Chain Disruption Management: Monitor and manage supply chain disruptions or manufacturing issues that may affect customer orders.
  • Strategic Customer Projects: Manage assigned strategic customer projects, contributing to problem-solving processes to drive structural improvements in order tracking.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to lead-times across product lines while collaborating with Operations and product development teams.
  • Issue Escalation: Drive actions and escalate unresolved issues to the Order Fulfillment Manager or appropriate stakeholders.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish metrics to evaluate information flow effectiveness and implement daily standard work improvements.
  • Customer Communication: Establish daily standard communications via electronic and live meetings to facilitate information flow between Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Customers.
  • Supply Chain Insights: Proactively update Customer Service and customers on order statuses, providing insights into material shortages and suggesting alternatives to prevent delivery delays.
  • Support to Sales: Provide accurate lead times during the quoting stage.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience focused on order fulfillment.
  • Skills: Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferable. Experience in factory planning, master planning, or scheduling. Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes. Proficient in problem-solving methodologies, particularly root cause analysis. Demonstrated track record of process improvement and automation. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications. Working familiarity with 'Infor LN' or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Skilled in driving consensus and action across diverse stakeholders and business units. Operates with a sense of urgency and consistently delivers results. Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Self-directed with a commitment to achieving objectives. Transparent and authentic communication style in all interactions. Ability to simplify complex problems, conduct thorough analyses, and provide clear recommendations.
