Senior Compensation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compensation Specialist to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing compensation and benefits programs that align with our company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our company's goals.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand compensation and benefits needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure our compensation and benefits programs are competitive and effective.
- Administer salary reviews, annual bonus programs, and special salary adjustments, ensuring compliance with Canadian wage laws and market trends.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate fees, and oversee benefit program administration and budget.
- Lead the annual benefits design process, benchmarking against market standards to ensure competitiveness.
- Develop new benefit plans with external providers and oversee annual enrollment for employees and retirees.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Sociology, or related area, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant direct compensation experience.
- Experience in HR demonstrating the ability to deal with confidential material in a manner demonstrating sound judgment.
- Experience in interpretation and statistical analysis of market data.
- Very good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Project Management experience would be considered an asset.
- High level of discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and deliver both long and short-term projects with consideration to stakeholders and adherence to strict deadlines.
- Highly skilled with Excel and MS Office programs.
- Experience with HR SAP, SuccessFactors is considered an asset.
- Ability to manage and scale projects.
- Strong written, verbal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- German language knowledge is considered an asset.
