Job Title: Senior Compensation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compensation Specialist to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing compensation and benefits programs that align with our company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our company's goals.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand compensation and benefits needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure our compensation and benefits programs are competitive and effective.
  • Administer salary reviews, annual bonus programs, and special salary adjustments, ensuring compliance with Canadian wage laws and market trends.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate fees, and oversee benefit program administration and budget.
  • Lead the annual benefits design process, benchmarking against market standards to ensure competitiveness.
  • Develop new benefit plans with external providers and oversee annual enrollment for employees and retirees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Sociology, or related area, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant direct compensation experience.
  • Experience in HR demonstrating the ability to deal with confidential material in a manner demonstrating sound judgment.
  • Experience in interpretation and statistical analysis of market data.
  • Very good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project Management experience would be considered an asset.
  • High level of discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and deliver both long and short-term projects with consideration to stakeholders and adherence to strict deadlines.
  • Highly skilled with Excel and MS Office programs.
  • Experience with HR SAP, SuccessFactors is considered an asset.
  • Ability to manage and scale projects.
  • Strong written, verbal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • German language knowledge is considered an asset.
