We are seeking a highly skilled Project Director, Transit Infrastructure to join our Rail/Transit practice. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are driven, passionate, and looking to be challenged in their career development.

This role will be integral in the development and growth of GHD's Transit/Rail practice. As a Project Director, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design transit facility projects for municipal clients. You will take ownership of all aspects of project management, including managing teams, sub-consultants, budgets, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design transit facility projects for municipal clients.
  • Taking ownership for all aspects of the management of projects from proposal to close-out.
  • Interfaces with GHD Design and design team (potentially located internationally).
  • Accountable to contractor questions, reviews shop drawings, and attends sites during construction as required.
  • Prepare, track, and administer project budgets.
  • Liaises with clients, participates in business development, and promotional activities for the company.

Requirements:

  • P. Eng or Registered Architect in Ontario.
  • Accredited with PMP certification (or working towards).
  • Experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
  • 15+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams with experience in transit facilities, rail, stations, electrification, and signaling.
  • Project Delivery in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB, PDB), and experience in managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.

Reports to:

  • Rail and Transit Lead in Ontario.
