Job Summary

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Web Applications Developer to lead our web development team and drive the improvement and extension of our product. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop robust technical solutions, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and help others achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end-to-end web applications using PHP and vanilla JavaScript
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop technical solutions
  • Lead team sprints and projects, estimating and planning work with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain internal APIs and 3rd-party integrations
  • Ensure high-quality code, following accessibility standards (AODA, WCAG) and site security (OWASP) best practices
  • Test and optimize code for performance and bottleneck improvements
  • Work with multiple Git branches, writing and reviewing Pull Requests, and pushing production-level code regularly
  • Oversee test and release planning, creating DB migration scripts and collaborating with the testing team
  • Maintain our internal component library & design system, and contribute to build scripts (Gulp, Webpack, Babel)
  • Develop new product pages and functionality for our website, documenting projects (Confluence)
  • Write and update technical documentation and requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in database-driven web site development
  • Production-level experience with JavaScript, PHP, React, build & migration scripts, and asynchronous queues
  • Production-level experience with WordPress development (or other similar CMS)
  • Ability to develop front-ends from scratch, creating valid, reusable, performant, and accessible pages at all screen sizes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in guiding technical solution planning and team collaboration
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Diploma in Web Development, or equivalent work experience
