Job Title: Senior Web Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer to join our team at Voices, a leading creative services marketplace. As a key member of our web development group, you will play a crucial role in improving and extending our product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust technical solutions for business problems presented by our Product and Marketing Teams.
  • Lead team sprints and projects through estimation and cooperative research.
  • Handle internal support conversations, investigate trouble tickets, and contribute to occasional infrastructure projects.
  • Guide technical solution planning for sprints and small projects.
  • Design work packages for your team that match up business and technical requirements.
  • Build customer-facing and internal user interfaces with CSS from LESS/SASS, HTML & JS.
  • Create and extend an MVC application using PHP frameworks (CodeIgniter, Laravel) and occasional scripts.
  • Apply your knowledge of accessibility standards (AODA, WCAG) and site security (OWASP) to improve life for our users.
  • Test your work for performance and bottleneck improvements.
  • Build or extend our internal APIs and 3rd-party integrations (Salesforce, S3, SQS, and other AWS services).
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in database-driven web site development.
  • Production-level experience with JavaScript, PHP, React, build & migration scripts, and even asynchronous queues.
  • Production-level experience with WordPress development (or other similar CMS).
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Diploma in Web Development or equivalent work experience.
