Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team at Alberta Health Services. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists and Cardiologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and record magnetic resonance images for diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology
  • Prepare and position patients for examination, review patient history, explain procedures, and respond to physical and psychological needs throughout the scanning procedure
  • Maintain MRI equipment and ensure effective infection control and MRI safety techniques
Requirements:
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging program or equivalent
  • Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and current registration/eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience at an acute care site
  • Ability to work confidently, independently, and within collaborative partnerships/teams; strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility
Compensation:

$68,000 - $83,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
