Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at South Health Campus and South Calgary Health Centre MRI. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists or cardiologists.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires working all shifts and being on-call as assigned. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide quality service to clients in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and record magnetic resonance images for diagnosis and disease tracking
  • Prepare and position patients for examination
  • Review patient history and explain procedures
  • Respond to physical and psychological needs of patients during scanning
  • Maintain MRI equipment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging program or equivalent
  • Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider certification
Preferred Qualifications

Enhanced practice in medication administration and venipuncture through the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) would be an asset.
