About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Williams Engineering Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of mechanical systems, working closely with our Project Managers and Engineers to ensure timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, including layout and plotting of drawings
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project requirements are met
  • Maintain a working relationship with other team members and stakeholders
  • Participate in discussions with clients as required
  • Store and retrieve documents appropriately on our network
  • Coordinate data and information collected in useful form for Project Managers
  • Develop routine day-to-day design details
  • May conduct site inspections and write reports under supervision
  • Prepare technical designs for a variety of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and equipment selection
Requirements
  • Graduate from a recognized technical program or 5 years of broad field and/or design experience
  • May be working towards an AScT, C.E.T. or C.Tech designation
  • Good interpersonal skills, effective organizational and time management skills, and ability to represent the company to other team members, clients, and community
  • Application knowledge of our systems and programs, including MS Office 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, AutoCaD, and Revit MEP
  • Understanding of provincial and national codes and standards
