Sanitation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our processing equipment, utensils, and plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Sanitation Program that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Supervise and train sanitation staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless execution of sanitation activities.
- Manage sanitation budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of materials and personnel.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in sanitation and food safety.
- Relevant post-secondary education in a field such as food science, microbiology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a food processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety principles, including HACCP, GMP, and WHMIS.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
