Production Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for coordinating daily production in a fast-paced food production facility, ensuring that all company safety objectives, food safety, and customer quality specifications are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direction, motivation, and technical support to production employees, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
- Manage specific departmental responsibilities, including production, mixing, shipping, sanitation, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and meet production targets.
- Support and promote the company's health and safety program, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
- Actively identify safety and ergonomic concerns, focusing on injury prevention and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and other departments to ensure quality and legislative requirements are met.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Communicate effectively with employees, peers, and managers to foster positive employee relations and resolve issues promptly.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of production supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work shift work and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of HACCP, health and safety legislation, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
