As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and deploying cloud infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Azure services.

You will collaborate with application support teams, adhering to architecture best practices and troubleshooting deployment issues.

In addition, you will analyze logging information and request cloud automation enhancements.

Developing automation strategies and CI/CD deployment processes in collaboration with other teams will be essential.

Key Requirements:

  • A computer science degree or technical college diploma
  • 10+ years of IT operations and/or IT project execution experience with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Senior-level ability to implement and troubleshoot Azure networking and connect to AWS/on-premise servers/services
  • General knowledge of Windows server operating systems, VMWare, RHEL, and storage technology
  • Hands-on experience in provisioning and configuration, including:
    • 5-8 years within the Azure cloud platform
    • 3-5 years with containers (preferably OpenShift or Kubernetes)
    • 1-3 years of coding automation (preferably with Terraform)
  • Extensive expertise in public and private cloud environments, IT infrastructure operations (server/workload, storage/data protection, networks), for various cloud service models

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, document and deploy solutions into Azure plus provide KT sessions to Operation teams for ongoing support
  • Drive the development and architecture review of Cloud Services, policies, and processes, and champion continuous improvement
  • Monitor and support the evolution of cloud adoption through effective engagement with IT Projects, IT Operations, and key business stakeholders
  • Enhance cloud services using best practices around CI/CD, Microservices, or other means to ensure reliability, cybersecurity, cost-efficiency, and compliance
  • Update tracking and ticketing toolsets, including ServiceNow for requests/change management, and Jira for work tracking. Knowledge of Power BI and Power Automate is advantageous

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience

This is an office-based role located in Calgary, Alberta. You will work out of our Calgary head office, which is easily accessible by public transportation.
