The Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our research and development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting and developing cloud infrastructure for service provider environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for our service provider environments.
  • Knowledge Management: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the cloud space and share your knowledge with the team.
  • Operational Process Development: Develop and implement operational processes for product roll-out within various cloud environments.
  • Customer Integration: Collaborate with our leadership team to integrate our product line with customer requirements.
  • DevOps Alignment: Ensure alignment of DevOps projects with business objectives.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to thought leadership in the cloud infrastructure space.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • University Degree or Equivalent: A degree in computer science, computer/electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Java Development Experience: 3+ years of experience developing robust software in Java.
  • Cloud/Virtual Infrastructure Experience: 2+ years of experience in cloud/virtual infrastructure (preferred).
  • Service Provider Environment Experience: 2+ years of experience in service provider environments (preferred).
  • SCRUM Methodology Knowledge: Knowledge of SCRUM software development methodologies and processes.
  • Deployment/Configuration Automation Experience: Deployment/configuration automation experience is an asset.
  • UNIX/LINUX Environment Knowledge: Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX environments.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: The ability to quickly understand technology problems and work through to resolution.
  • Interdepartmental Communication: The ability to communicate clearly with various departments, including QA and Operations.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
