Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives, including cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier development.
- Manage and lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure optimal performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, category managers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address procurement-related risks, opportunities, and challenges.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with WSIB's procurement directives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure WSIB's procurement practices are aligned with industry standards.
- University degree in a related field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement leadership.
- Proven track record of delivering business value through procurement initiatives, including cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier development.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
