Job Summary:

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans that drive business value and improve operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals to ensure effective delivery of procurement services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business areas and senior management.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a related field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Proven track record of delivering business value and improving operational efficiency through effective procurement practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
