Sushi Village is seeking a skilled and experienced chef to join our team as an Executive Chef. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation techniques. As a key member of our kitchen team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for creating new recipes, instructing cooks in preparation and presentation of food, and supervising kitchen staff. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for planning menus, ensuring food quality, and training staff in preparation and handling of food. In addition to culinary skills, the ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team of 5-10 people. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of meals, including sushi, fish, and seafood dishes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety protocols and will be able to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for managing staff, including training and development, and will be expected to work a 40-hour week. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package, including dental, health care, and vision care benefits.
