Chef Big D's Deli and Restaurant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Chef Big D's Deli and Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards for cleanliness and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced and dynamic conditions.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
