We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Mississauga. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists to provide comprehensive care to clients and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for clients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct communication and hearing screenings to identify patients requiring a speech-language assessment.
  • Administer and score standardized assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Deliver specified treatment, remediation, or education sessions or programs to clients and their families.
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of client interactions and treatment outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Working towards registration with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario in 2024.
  • Experience working with seniors and individuals with stroke-related disorders is an asset.
  • Community experience and bilingualism are preferred.
  • A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check is required.
