Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Communications Assistant to join our team at Senators Sports & Entertainment. As a key member of our Communications Department, you will play a vital role in supporting our team's efforts to promote the Belleville Senators and the American Hockey League.

Key Responsibilities
  • Media Support: Assist in the creation and distribution of media materials, including press releases, media alerts, and fact sheets.
  • Event Management: Coordinate and execute media events, campaigns, and press conferences.
  • Content Creation: Develop and disseminate game day content, including post-game interviews, highlights, and game stories.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct statistical research projects and compile rosters for special events.
  • Media Relations: Assist with media accreditation, credential distribution, and in-game media needs.
  • Content Distribution: Track and share media coverage and daily press clippings.
Requirements
  • Education: Enrolled in a post-secondary program or hold a college diploma or university degree in Communications, Broadcast, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; knowledge of Office365, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar programs.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and creativity; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
