Healthcare Support Worker

At Qualicare Home Care Kamloops, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also be responsible for preparing meal trays, serving meals, and feeding patients as needed. Additionally, you will assist with light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and maintaining patient rooms. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare meal trays, serve meals, and feed patients as needed
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and maintaining patient rooms
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
- Transport patients between care facilities
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- Answer call signals to determine patients' needs
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
