About WellspringWe are a network of community-based support centres providing programs that meet the emotional, practical, physical, informational, and functional needs of individuals and families living with cancer.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is CAD $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development.
Job DescriptionAs our new Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Westerkirk House location in Toronto. This includes overseeing local volunteer resources, providing front-line support to people with cancer and their loved ones, and building stakeholder relationships within the community.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years of related experience, with a strong background in motivating and supervising volunteers, as well as providing support to people living with health concerns.
- Very strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A high degree of organizational capability, with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- An understanding of the impact of cancer on individuals and families.
- Fluency in English.
- Adaptability based on varying demands within the role.
- On-site management of the delivery of programming operating at Wellspring Westerkirk House.
- Management of local volunteer resources, including recruitment, training, scheduling, mentoring, succession planning, leadership, support, and recognition.
- Provision of front-line support for people with cancer and their loved ones, including customer service, program referrals, coordination of services, etc.
- Stakeholder relationship building, including outreach to and maintenance of strong relationships with professionals working with hospitals and community groups.
