Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team at WESCO. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and building strong relationships with existing customers to drive sales growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and other lead generation activities.
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase sales and revenue.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with management to develop and execute sales plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Product Knowledge and Training: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of WESCO's products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Develop and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals to customers.
  • Travel and Sales Calls: Travel to customer sites and conduct sales calls to build relationships and drive sales growth.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Prior sales experience required, outside sales preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent sales and negotiation skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations, strong interpersonal skills, effective communicator, ability to work in a team environment, and strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Working Environment

This is a field-based sales position that requires frequent travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and be able to drive for extended periods of time.
