Associate Professor of Forensic Analytical Toxicology
Job Summary:The Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream position in the area of Forensic Analytical Toxicology as part of the Forensic Science Program. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate courses in Forensic Science and related fields
- Conduct research in Forensic Analytical Toxicology and related areas
- Develop and maintain a strong research program with external funding
- Contribute to the development of the Forensic Science Program
- PhD degree in Chemistry or Toxicology with an emphasis on bench-based analytical chemistry, forensic toxicology, or a related area
- Clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching
- Demonstrated expertise in the field of Analytical Toxicology and a proven track record of professional practice activities
- Experience working in a forensic laboratory or as an independent forensic consultant
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance protocols and accreditation processes for forensic labs
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate level
- Established international reputation in the field of Forensic Science
