Assistant Professor Position in Forensic Analytical Toxicology

About the Position
The University of Toronto Mississauga's Department of Anthropology invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Forensic Analytical Toxicology as part of the Forensic Science Program. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Pursue innovative and independent research in Forensic Analytical Toxicology
- Establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally-funded research program
- Teach undergraduate courses in Forensic Science and related areas
- Mentor students and contribute to the development of the Forensic Science Program
Qualifications
- PhD degree in Chemistry or Toxicology with an emphasis on bench-based analytical chemistry, forensic toxicology, or a related area
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching
- Experience working in a forensic laboratory or as an independent forensic consultant
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance protocols and accreditation processes for forensic labs
