Associate Professor of Forensic Science
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Professor of Forensic Science to join our team at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The successful candidate will have a strong background in forensic analytical toxicology and a proven track record of research and teaching excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic science and chemistry
- Conduct research in forensic analytical toxicology and publish in top-ranked journals
- Develop and maintain a strong research program with external funding
- Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
- Contribute to the development of the Forensic Science Program
- PhD in Chemistry or Toxicology with a focus on forensic science
- Proven track record of research and teaching excellence
- Experience in forensic laboratory settings or as an independent forensic consultant
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance protocols and accreditation processes for forensic labs
- Ability to foster diversity and inclusion in the classroom and in research
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development
- Strong research record with external funding
- Experience in supervising graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
