Job Summary

The YMCA of Greater Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Student Nutrition Team Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team to provide leadership, collaboration, and supervision to the Student Nutrition Programs across the Region of Peel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school programs, community members, and other organizations to achieve program goals.
  • Participate in fundraising activities and consult with community-based agencies to obtain resources for the program.
  • Communicate with program locations using tact, courtesy, and professional representation of the YMCA of Greater Toronto.
  • Provide assistance, counsel, problem-solving, coaching, and leadership to ensure safe operation of the program.
  • Develop, modify, and prioritize program information packages as required.
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers and coordinators to ensure correct data tracking and follow guidelines set by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.
  • Maintain ongoing records of site visits and organize relevant forms and materials.
  • Ensure equipment is acknowledged, inventoried, and new requests are submitted and organized.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of local community and Ontario Student Nutrition Program.
  • Knowledge of both public and separate school systems and field of education.
  • Capacity to work within a team and independently and be part of a large multi-service charitable Association.
  • Goal-oriented and results-focused with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community, volunteers, and co-workers.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle a must.
