Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Finance Professor to join our faculty at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor, with a focus on teaching and research in finance.

About the Position

This is a tenure-stream appointment, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research at the highest level, establish an outstanding, independent research program, and publish articles in internationally recognized top-tier and field-relevant academic journals in finance and/or cognate disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Develop and maintain a research program in finance, with a focus on publishing in top-tier journals
  • Supervise graduate students and provide guidance on research projects
  • Participate in departmental and faculty service, including committee work and outreach activities
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in finance or a cognate discipline, with a focus on finance, and a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing strengths.
