Mental Health Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist (Masters) to join our team in Adult Mental Health & Addictions. As a key member of our outpatient team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to individuals with Tier-3 Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in psychology, a Master's degree in Psychology, and registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP). A minimum of two years' clinical experience in the field of Mental Health & Addictions is required.
- Successful completion of a Master's degree in Psychology
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP)
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience working in Mental Health & Addictions
- Demonstrated knowledge of time-limited evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical supervision, learning, and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects concurrently
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $37.31 - $49.05. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
